The odds on Memphis Depay returning to Manchester United have been slashed after he was linked with a return to Old Trafford.
The Dutch international joined United from PSV Eindhoven in 2015, but he spent just two misfiring seasons with the club before being sold to Lyon in 2017 – and he has recaptured his form with Lyon.
United, as part of their deal, are believed to have first refusal on the 25-year-old and they are reported to be considering a move.
Now Paddy Power have halved the odds on Depay making a sensational return to Old Trafford this summer.
United are now rated just 2/1 to land Depay, who has also attracted the attention of a number of clubs, with Manchester City, Paris Saint Germain and Real Madrid are reported to be looking at him.
Spokesman Paddy Power said: “There may well be a ready-made solution to Man United’s winger woes, in the form of a familiar face – Memphis Depay.
“And for once, it seems they’ve made the wise move of including a buy-back clause in his contract, imagine that.”
