Diego Costa could be set for a move back to the Premier League this summer.
The 30-year-old has struggled at Atletico Madrid since rejoining the club in January 2018 – indeed he has found the back of the net just five times in 18-months.
Now sources have confirmed to me that Atletico have told Costa that he can leave this summer on a loan move, and a host of clubs are now keen on landing him.
Everton, West Ham, Wolves and Newcastle are amongst the clubs linked – although Costa remains hopeful one of the top-six, other than former club Chelsea, could show an interest.
As it stands Bookmakers are giving Wolves the edge over Everton.
Betway’s Alan Alger said: “Rumours of Diego Costa’s unhappiness at Atletico Madrid have fuelled significant interest in the betting on his next club, with a return to the Premier League appearing to be on the cards.
“Wolves haven’t been afraid to splash the cash since their return to the top-flight and they are the 5/4 favourites to sign the 30-year-old, with Everton looking the other major contenders at 11/4.”
