Borussia Dortmund are listening to offers for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Arsenal have emerged as one of the options for the Gabonese star.
Dortmund have an asking price which is around £65million and clubs in China are ready to pay and get the deal done.
Aubameyang has been plagued with disciplinary in the recent past, and he was dropped at the weekend after missing a pre-match team meeting.
Despite his problems, he has still managed to bag 13 goals this season and interest remains high in the 28-year-old.
China remains an option open to the player, but he is keen to remain in Europe. Paris Saint Germain are long-term admirers but would not be interested in a deal this month whilst Liverpool and Chelsea have also been keeping tabs on his situation.
Now with Alexis Sanchez and Theo Walcott possibly moving out this month, Arsenal sources have confirmed that they are looking at replacements and Aubameyang’s party believe he is very high on their wanted list.
Bookmakers make Arsenal odds on to be Aubameyang’s next club, should he move on with Coral pricing him at 4/6.
“After a bleak weekend the news that a deal for Aubameyang could be near will be music to Arsenal fans ears and we have slashed the odds on the transfer significantly,” said Coral’s Harry Aitkenhead.
