England are now fourth favourites to win the World Cup as their odds are tumbling.
Gareth Southgate’s side were just about inside the top-ten at the start of the tournament at around 16/1 – but their excellent start coupled with the struggles of others have seen their odds shortened massively.
They are now into 7/1 in places, with only Brazil, Spain and Belgium ahead of them in the betting.
“The tournament has really opened up and England and Belgium particularly have to be considered potential winners,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.
