After dominating in Europe last season, Bookmakers fear that Premier League clubs could be about to do it again.
Punters are throwing their weight behind an English side being crowned winners of the Champions League and Europa League again this season, as they did last term.
Liverpool were crowned champions of Europe as they overcame Spurs, whilst Chelsea took the honours in the Europa League – the first time ever English sides have won both in the same season and it is 7/1 that we see are a repeat this term.
Jurgen Klopp’s side are 6/1 third favourites to retain the trophy they won in Madrid, with 5/1 Barcelona the nearest challengers to 7/2 favourites Manchester City according to the betting.
Lawrence Lyons, spokesperson for BoyleSports said: “Punters are showing huge confidence in the English sides going into the group stages and the money is going down on one of the Premier League representatives going all the way again next May.
“We’ve cut that into 11/8 from 15/8 given the heavy support we’re seeing for either Liverpool or Manchester City to lift the trophy.”
