Everton are confident of landing Theo Walcott this month, as they are the only side who want to sign him on a permanent basis.
The Toffees are happy to take his plus £100,000-a-week contract off Arsenal’s hands, whilst also paying a substantial fee.
However, Walcott does have other options with both West Ham and his former club Southampton keen on landing him – but only on an initial loan.
Arsenal would prefer to sell, but Arsene Wenger is understood to be ready to let Walcott make the choice – given he is thinking about a late run to make England’s World Cup squad.
Everton have been cut to short price Evens favourites to land Walcott this month.
“Theo is desperate for some regular first-team football ahead of the World Cup this summer and it looks like he could get that at Everton who are now the new favourites to sign him in the January transfer window,” said Coral’s John Hill.
