Everton are leading the chase for Spanish striker Sandro Ramirez, but half-a-dozen Premier League clubs have contacted the player’s representatives.
His club Malaga have allowed the player to talk with potential suitors, given that he has a release clause of £5million – which is set to be activated this summer.
The 21-year-old left Barcelona last summer to join Malaga, and he has become one of the top-scorers in La Liga with 14 goals to his name.
Tottenham came close to signing him last summer, and I am told their interest in the player remains. Liverpool, Arsenal, West Ham and Newcastle have also expressed an interest in landing him.
However, Everton are very much at the front of the queue and Ronald Koeman has made him his number one target to replace Romelu Lukaku, who is destined to leave the club this summer – with Chelsea working hard to conclude a deal.
Everton want Tammy Abraham from Chelsea to come as part of that deal, but even if they get him – Koeman knows he is not ready to lead their line but Sandro could be.
Malaga coach Michel has admitted: “We cannot keep him if he doesn’t want to continue.”
The likes of Atletico Madrid, Borussia Dortmund and Monaco have also expressed an interest, but I have been told that the player’s camp have intimated that he would prefer a move to England.
