F1 Preview – Australian Grand Prix

The Australian Grand Prix marks the opening of the Formula 1 season this weekend.

All ten teams are taking to Albert Park looking to start the season in fine style, with defending champions Mercedes and Lewis Hamilton firm favourites to retain their respective crowns.

Hamilton is in confident mood ahead of the opening round, but he believes that Mercedes will be facing a big challenge from both Ferrari and Red Bull this season

“Every year we have to take it to another level,” said Hamilton“If you look at last year, Red Bull was a second or so behind at the first race and at the last race they were right there with us.
“Their rate of development was a little bit steeper than everyone else’s.“They seem to have done a great job on their car, it’s got a lot more furniture on it, and should be a lot quicker this weekend. They’ve also got two great drivers.“Then you have Ferrari who were there in the real fight last year. It was no walkover, that’s for sure. And this year we expect them to be on it too.“From what I understand, I think Red Bull and Ferrari are very close.”

We have also spoken to Betsafe’s Ian Belchin, F1 odds compiler for the Betsson Group, to get his view on the Australian GP

It’s time for the first race of the 2018 Calendar, The F1 Australian GP 2018.

Looking at the pre-race bets so far, my BETSAFE customers believe its going to be a red car finishing in first place, they have been favouring both Ferrari drivers for the win.

BETSAFE.COM are offering Sebastian Vettel 4/1 and Kimi Raikkonen 30/1 to win the race.

This year I will be offering new unique DRIVER SPECIALS for the top teams. Each driver will have their own 10 individual bet options. These will located at the bottom of the Formula one offering each race weekend.

Back to the F1 Australian GP 2018 race and you should always go to the first race with one objective – to finish the race. This is why I am backing Fernando Alonso (ESP – McLaren) to overcome the poor results from testing and finish the race in the points (Top 10).

BETSAFE.COM are offering this good value bet @7/10
