Nabil Fekir remains firmly on Liverpool’s radar, and the player refuses to rule out the prospect of a move.
The French star saw a move to Anfield collapse last summer, but he has not given up hope of securing a move.
Liverpoo are understood to be Fekir’s first choice, but Chelsea, Tottenham and Manchester City – who he impressed against in the Champions League – have all be following him closely.
Fekir remains open about his future and speaking to French publication Le Progres, he said: “I am happy at Lyon, but which player doesn’t dream of discovering a new league, another club?
“Discussions are ongoing [over a new deal]. I have sat down with the president, things are advancing slowly. When will I take a decision? I am not fixing myself a date, I am not in a rush. Nobody is putting any pressure on it and I like to take my time.”
Bookmakers make Liverpool favourites to be his next club, with Coral making them 2/1 favourites to land him ahead of Chelsea.
“It looks like Nabil Fekir is trying to force a move away from Lyon and if that is the case, Liverpool are the favourites to sign the Frenchman,” said Coral’s John Hill.
