Football INDEX on the Europa League Final

The Europa League final offers plenty of opportunities in the Football INDEX world.

There are INDEX risers and Buzz winners aplenty, and we take a look at who should be in your portfolio leading up to the game…

MARCUS RASHFORD
The obvious choice, but the youngster is a proven match-winner with Buzz wins already under his belt after standout performances in this competition. He fits the bill of being young, English and wearing a red shirt – which is every Trader’s dream.

WAYNE ROONEY
If Rooney is indeed set to leave Manchester at the end of the season, what better way than to ensure he leaves the club with Champions League football. It is unlikely he will start, but coming in and grabbing a crucial goal in what could be his final game would surely mean a buzz win and price increase – and coupled with the speculation of a return to Everton he is definitely one to keep in your portfolio.

HENRIKH MKHITARYAN
The Armenian has been particularly good in the Europa League for United this season, and could top this off by leading them to the trophy. He is a player who looks set to improve on his first season as well come September, so would be worth including as a long term investment.

KASPER DOLBERG
Leading the scoring charts for Ajax this season and attracting a lot of interest, Dolberg’s price seems sure to increase in the coming weeks and months with the Europa League final followed by a summer of transfer speculation. Expect him to shine when the world is watching, and pick him up now while he is still cheap.

ERIC BAILLY
A stellar first season at the back and priced well below £1, Eric Bailly is well worth investing in. He could be critical in containing Dolberg and if he was to pop up with a goal could easily double in price. Looking long term it would seem he will be in the United back line for quite a few years and will surely be a popular choice for those traders that like to look at the cheaper end of the Index.
