Demarai Gray has told Leicester City he wants to quit the club with Liverpool leading the chase to land him this summer.
The 20-year-old winger joined Leicester in a bargain deal from Birmingham City in January 2016, and he has impressed in the Premier League since his move.
But despite showing up well, Gray has not been able to become a regular in Leicester’s first team and he has been unable to hide his frustration – given he has started just 10 league games since being with the club.

“I want to play week in, week out and I’m sure every player wants to. When you’re not playing you get frustrated but the manager makes his decisions and I’ve just got to work my way into the team,” he said recently.
Now I can reveal that Gray, through his representatives, has made it know to the club that he would like to look at options away from the King Power.
Gray has started just nine games this summer, but the England Under-21 star has a host of clubs keen on landing him. Liverpool, Tottenham, Everton, West Ham and Newcastle are amongst the clubs eager to land him.
Liverpool have been following Gray since his Birmingham days, and are ready to launch a bid once the season is finished.
Gray firmly believes he could break into the England squad this season, and with it being a World Cup year coming up, it could be a huge 12-months for the 20-year-old.
The clubs chasing Gray believe he has a release clause, although Leicester deny this is as low as £12million – which his suitors believe it is – one thing that is certain, is that will be tested in the coming weeks as The Foxes are braced for a number of offers.
Leicester themselves are keen to sit down with Gray to discuss a new deal, but it looks unlikely he would look to extend his stay at the club.
