Tyson Fury is odds-on favourite to win his rematch with Deontay Wilder in February.
Finally, the two fighters have confirmed they will meet again in a WBC Heavyweight title clash at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on February 22nd.
It is a rematch after the two battled out a controversial draw in December 2018 in Los Angeles.
“This is Tyson Fury, AKA the Gypsy King. This is a message to Deontay Wilder, the Bronze Bomber,” said Fury.
“He’s not turned up to any of the media events today, blagging he’s got the flu, because he doesn’t wanna be in the same room as me because I’ll take him to school.”
And Bookmakers are behind the Brit to beat the American at the second time of asking.
Leading bookmaker Coral makes Fury odds on at 8/11 to beat Wilder. Wilder is 11/10, whilst a repeat of the draw when they last met is now 18-1 (was 25-1) last time.
“Tyson Fury looked set to triumph in the original clash until a late Wilder punch floored him and meant the shares were spoiled. We think this time around Fury will be even sharper and now make him odds on to win the rematch,” said Coral’s Harry Aitkenhead.
Coral are offering a host of 2020 specials in the lead up to the New Year, one of which is 5/2 for Anthony Joshua to fight Tyson Fury at any point next year.
Joshua is 8/13 to be unbeaten through the whole of 2020 and is 5/1 to become the undisputed World Champion.
“2020 could be a huge year for British boxing if Joshua fights Fury and we make that 5-2 to happen, whilst AJ’s impressive performance against Ruiz this month means he looks back to his best and he’s odds on to go through the next twelve unbeaten,” added Aitkenhead.
