Gareth Bale Chinese link won’t go away

Gareth Bale has once again been linked with a move to China, but the Welsh superstar has dismissed claims he is angry with his life at Real Madrid.

Bale refused to contemplate leaving the Santiago Bernabeu in the summer, rejecting overtures from a host of clubs although a deal to China did come close before president Florentino Perez pulled the plug on the deal.

Real boss Zinedine Zidane was keen to move him on, but he has since been heavily involved – starting six games and scoring twice.

Reports in Spain claim Bale has become angry, but he has denied this is the case.

“I think you play with a lot of emotion and anger comes into it of course, but I am just trying to play football, to enjoy it as much as I can and give my best, whether I am here or in Madrid,” he said.

“Whenever I step onto the pitch I give 100% to help the team and I will continue to do that.”

Bookmakers though believe Bale could be heading to China in the January window and Coral make him 1/3 to China, with Bayern Munich next best at 3/1 with a move to Manchester United 10/1.

“Gareth Bale’s move to China fell through earlier this year, however, the betting suggests he will seal a move to a Chinese club in January when the transfer window re-opens,” said Coral’s John Hill.

“There are number of major European clubs prominent in the betting to secure the services of the Welshman, with Manchester United the shortest price of any Premier League club,” added Hill.
