Gareth Bale/Manchester United links played down

Gareth Bale’s agent has denied any links relating to his client moving back to England.

Manchester United have been linked with a move which would see Real Madrid’s Welsh ace return to the Premier League.

Jose Mourinho has refused to hide his admiration for the 28-year-old, but talk has been quickly played down.

Bale’s agent Jonathan Barnett has called the talk of a move “ridiculous” and “stupid” – and Real boss Zinedine Zidane has also down played the suggestions.

“I want everyone who is here now to stay but anything can happen right up until 31 August,” said the Frenchman.

Bookmakers are also convinced that Bale will not be going anywhere – SkyBet currently make him 1/7 to remain at Real Madrid.
