Gareth won’t Bale on Madrid

Gareth Bale remains a key part of Real Madrid’s future and he has made it clear to the club he is not looking to leave this summer.

The 29-year-old has a long-term contract at the Santiago Bernabeu – but he has been strongly linked with a move, with Eden Hazard wildly expected to seal a move from Chelsea.

But Florentino Perez has always been a huge fan of Bale and it is clear that, the Real supremo wants the Welshman to remain a key part of his side.

Sources have confirmed that “Bale is very happy at Real, and Real a very happy with him – why would either want that to change?”

Manchester United have long held an interest in bringing Bale back to the Premier League, but that ambition looks like being put on the back-burner until 2020 at the earliest.

Bookmakers believe there is still a realistic chance of Bale leaving, and he is odds-on to leave with Betway making him 4/6 to quit Real.

Betway’s Alan Alger, said: “Even though Gareth Bale has scored over 70 goals for Real Madrid, he’s not one of the first names on the team sheet each week and his future looks up for question again.

“It’s just 4/6 that he isn’t a Madrid player at the start of the 2019/20 season and with his employer next season seemingly unclear, we’ve priced up his next club too.

“Manchester United have been linked with the 29-year-old before and have been chalked up as the 2/1 favourites to sign him, while the club where he really made a name for himself, Tottenham, aren’t out of the running at 6/1.”
