Giggs backed in for Black Cats job

Ryan Giggs has been backed in heavily to become the new manager of Sunderland.

Largely considered a 25/1 shot around the markets just 24 hours ago, there has been a steady stream of bets throughout the day.

TheGamblingTimes.com has spoken to a number of bookmakers running the market, and they have confirmed continuous interest in Giggs, no matter how short he was getting.

Now he is odds-on in the few markets that are still showing a price on him with some as low as 2/5.

The former Manchester United man is still looking for a management role, after leaving The Red Devils following Louis van Gaal’s departure last summer, who he was number 2 too.

He missed out on the Swansea City job to Paul Clement, whilst he was understood to be in the running for the Middlesbrough job until recently.

Now he has taken over the likes of Derek McInnes, Alan Pardew and Paul Lambert to be firm favourite for the role.
