Olivier Giroud has completed his move to Chelsea from Arsenal, which has allowed Michy Batshuayi to join Borussia Dortmund.
The French striker emerged as Chelsea’s top target for striking reinforcements after failing to land Edin Dzeko.
But a strange footballing triangle emerged as they could not sign him until Arsenal had landed Pierre Emerick Aubameyang, and then in-turn Borussia Dortmund signed a replacement – who would be Chelsea’s own Batshuayi.

All three deals were, though, thrashed out and both Giroud and Batshuayi completed their moves soon after Aubameyang confirmed his record breaking switch to Arsenal.
Giroud, who has four goals to his name this season, is now being backed to hit the goals trail at his new club.
He is 15/8 with bet365 to reach double figures come the end of the 2017/18 campaign.
