Grand National winner out for season

Randox Health Grand National winner One For Arthur will not be able to defend his crown at Aintree next April due to injury.

The Scottish-based eight-year-old has suffered a tendon problem, and that means he will not be able to race this season.

The horse’s trainer Lucina Russell confirmed that he will not be able to defend his crown.

“He’s out for the season,” Russell confirmed.

“It’s not a big injury, but it’s enough for us to stop with him. It’s obviously a shame, but hopefully we can get him back to full fitness.”
