Hodgson emerges as Leicester favourite

Roy Hodgson has been made favourite to become the next manager of Leicester City.

The 70-year-old has been out of work since leaving his position as England boss in 2016, but the former Fulham and West Bromwich Albion chief is keen to get back into management.

Leicester axed boss Claudio Ranieri last week, but on the back of that they produced their best performance of the season with a 3-1 win over Liverpool under caretaker boss Craig Shakespeare.

Shakespeare has made it known he would like the job on a full time basis – but now it has emerged that the Foxes are considering other options.

Owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha is reported to have a liking for Hodgson and it is claimed that he has held private talks with him.

Now a stream of money has come in for Hodgson to take the job, and bet365 now make him favourite for the role at The Walkers Stadium at 6/4.

“We have had several hundred bets on the former England man, who was at 12/1.”
