Hull set to turn to Nigel Adkins

Hull City are ready to turn to Nigel Adkins as their new boss.

The Tigers parted company with Russian coach Leonid Slutsky over the weekend after a disappointing start to the season which has seen them win just four games.

Adkins was a candidate for the job in the summer, when relegated Hull opted for Slutsky to replace Marco Silva – who left for Watford.

However, Hull are now in 20th and the possible quick-fire return to the Premier League is not on the agenda as they are just three points off relegation.

Adkins is back at the top the list as the club look at their options, and it is understood they want someone out of work to be able to come in quickly.

Bookmakers firmly believe Adkins is on course for the job and BetVictor make him 2/7 – which is near 80% probability of it happening.
