International Friendlies Preview – Friday

England’s Road to Russia continues on Friday as they are in Amsterdam to face Holland in their latest friendly.

Gareth Southgate’s men have a double header this coming week with a trip to face Holland, and then a clash with Italy.

Southgate intends to use both games to try and assess all his players.

“We have to be able to adapt. What’s more important is knowing who we’d want in each position if fit and available. We’re not in the same state as Brazil, the same state of evolution of the team,” said the England boss.

“We want to find out what’s best for the future of the England team. But it’s not concern. We’re really intrigued to see which players step forward and claim the spots.

“It’s an exciting period. We’re seeing players, like the defenders we’ve brought in this week, settle in no problem and play out from the back comfortably. Everyone here has a serious opportunity to go to the World Cup.”

Also on Friday evening, Alex McLeish will be back in charge of Scotland for a second stint as they host Costa Rica, whilst Republic of Ireland face Turkey.

It is a busy night of action with the likes of Brazil, Argentina, France, Germany and Spain all in action – see below as we go through each major game with our Football Insider Graeme Bailey and Bet365.
