West Brom have made Slavisa Jokanovic their number one target, and hope to appoint him as their new manager – if they can agree terms.
Jokanovic left Fulham earlier this season after guiding them to the Premier League and was close to taking control of Nottingham Forest this year – before a deal broke down.
The highly-rated Serb is wanting a sizeable financial package from The Baggies and they are now locked in talks.
West Brom have also looked at former Huddersfield boss David Wagner, ex-Sheffield Wednesday chief Carlos Carvahal, Preston’s Alex Neil, and former midfielders Michael Appleton and Derek McInnes – the current Aberdeen manager.
But it is Jokanovic who is the first choice and talks are ongoing and Bookmakers believe the Fulham man will be the man to replace Darren Moore – who was sacked at the weekend – and he is now Evens with BetVictor.
Preston’s Alex Neil has emerged in recent days as a genuine candidate and is rated at 7/4.
