Juan Mata eye league title

Spanish star Juan Mata is keen on securing a league title before he finishes his career, as he decides whether to quit Manchester United.

The 30-year-old has won everything in the game from the World Cup to Champions League, apart from a league title – something has evaded him thus far.

Mata’s current deal expires in the summer and he is open to agreeing an extension at United – but a move back to Spain is on the cards.

His former club Valencia would love to take him, but it is Barcelona who are leading the chase and they see Mata being able to fill an Anders Iniesta/Xavi type role over the remaining years of his career.

Indeed, Bookmakers make Barcelona favourites to land Mata with PaddyPower making them 4/1.

Spokesman Paddy Power said: “Just as Juan Mata thought all of his troubles were behind him with Jose Mourinho gone, it seems Man United want him to take a pay cut.

“If he does move away, we believe it’ll be to Italy or to Spain. But, what will United fans do without his blog content? Hugs.”
