Jurgen Klopp has told Daniel Sturridge to concentrate on getting back into the Liverpool first-team and not his future.
The England striker is known to becoming increasingly agitated at the lack of first-team opportunities which have limited him to just four appearances so far this season.
Football INDEX Watch – DANIEL STURRIDGE – Rated at just £1.16, could be good value
I understand Sturridge is attracting interest from a host of Premier League clubs, as well as some foreign clubs.
Liverpool have made it clear they are not looking to sell in January, but that may yet change.
Klopp, though, has not held back with Sturridge – insisting he needs to concentrate on Liverpool.
“I can imagine a player with his quality is not happy that he is not starting all the time, but that’s all,” said Klopp.
“The situation with the player is completely OK. At this moment we are in November and need all our players – even if he feels a little different.
“There is around one-and-a-half months before the window opens and I don’t think about things like this. There are so many games before then and I need all of them (his players).”
Bookmakers at this point believe Sturridge is most likely to stay put at Anfield.
Speaking on the Sturridge market, BetVictor’s Head of ante Post football Michael Triffitt told us: “It would appear that Daniel Sturridge will need to leave Liverpool to kick start his frustrating season and there will be a number of teams keen to capture his signature.
“West Ham and Newcastle are 6/1 joint favourites although Pool are insisting the player is still needed at Anfield.”
