Juventus odds slashed after landing Ronaldo

Juventus have had their odds for the Champions League success slashed after landing Cristiano Ronaldo.

Juve are already all-conquering in Italy, having taken the Serie A & Coppa Italia double for the last four seasons-in-a-row.

They have also been a real threat in the Champions League, having been losing finalists in two of the last four-years.

But now despite their already impressive form, Bookmakers have cut their odds to win every tournament next season.

The Turin giants have received significant backing to dominate next season, with a Serie A title now 2/5 from 4/6 and a Champions League trophy closing into 7/1 from 9/1. Juve are also 20/1 to pull off a Champions League, Serie A and Coppa Italia treble next season having been backed in from 33/1 in the wake of the transfer.

Ronaldo was also supported to hit the ground running at Juventus by bagging over 30 goals in his first season in Serie A, despite odds-on quotes of 4/6. During his Real Madrid career, Ronaldo breached the 30-goal barrier in La Liga six times, including three hauls in excess of 40.

BoyleSports quoted Ronaldo at 1/3 to pick up the Ballon d’Or in 2019 having scooped the accolade in four of the last five years.

Lawrence Lyons, Spokesperson for BoyleSports commented:  “Juventus are already a dominant force in Italian football having won the last seven Serie A titles and the addition of Ronaldo has crushed the odds on them sweeping up next season too.”

He added: “They closed in the markets for all competitions they are in for and Ronaldo himself is seeing money even at 4/6 to score over 30 league goals in his first season so it’s clear punters are bullish that he still has a lot to offer.”
