Bookmakers are taking bets on N’Golo Kante to depart Chelsea this summer with Real Madrid odds-on to be the next club land him.

The French international midfielder has had a stellar season following his summer arrival from Leicester City and is set to land back-to-back Premier League titles.

He is regarded by many to be the favourite for the Footballer of the Year crown, such has been his performances this term.

But Ladbrokes are one of those who feel that Kante could be on his way this summer.

They list him at just 5/2 to leave Chelsea when the transfer window opens, and Real Madrid are odds-on to snap him up at 10/11, although 5/2 says Barcelona intercept a potential switch to the Spanish capital.

Ladbrokes News’ Alex Apati said: “Our traders have covered as much ground in this market as Kante does on the pitch, with a whole host of Europe’s elite clubs priced to snap the Frenchman up.

“And with 5/2 currently on offer for the Frenchman to leave when the window opens, plenty of Chelsea fans will be biting their fingernails this summer.”
