Former West Bromwich Albion midfielder Kevin Kilbane has raised concerns over Alan Pardew’s start in the Baggies dugout.
Talking to BoyleSports ahead of this weekend’s Premier League fixtures, Kilbane voiced his frustration at his former club’s lack of threat in front of goal.
“They need to build on their midweek draw against Liverpool but they haven’t scored a single goal in the three games Alan Pardew’s taken charge of.
“The lack of creativity under him so far has been pretty alarming.”
Kilbane backed Romelu Lukaku to play a crucial role in this weekend’s encounter with West Brom as he returns to one of his former employers having found the net against Bournemouth during the week after a rough patch which has seen him bag only three goals in his last 15 games.
He said: “Romelu Lukaku’s record against the top teams is nothing to write home about, but he’s scored 30 in his last 38 against teams outside the top six and it’s just set up for him to score again against his former side.”
