Jurgen Klopp has tried to play down early talk of a Liverpool title charge despite their impressive start to the new season.
The Reds kept pace with champions Manchester City by making it two wins from two on Monday evening with victory over Crystal Palace.
But Liverpool boss Klopp was quick to insist that their early results should not be immediately compared to City.
“It’s very early,” said Klopp.
“I couldn’t care less really. We are not in a race with other Premier League teams each weekend.
“It is too strong to say anything after two match days. You can discuss whatever you want – just do it without us.”
Despite Klopp’s talk, Bookmakers have reacted to their win over Palace and their title odds are now 3/1 with BetVictor.
