Lazio braced for Premier League raids

Italian giants Lazio are braced to lose a host of big names this summer, and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Jordan Lukaku could very well be heading to the Premier League.

Serbian midfielder star Milinkovic-Savic is quickly emerging as one of the most sought after players in Europe, with most of Europe’s top clubs.

The 23-year-old, born in Spain, has been a stand-out performer for Lazio – which has seen the likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona, Juventus and Paris Saint Germain linked – whilst in England, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United and Manchester City are all believed to be monitoring him.

But he will not come cheap with Lazio admitting they would want more than £70million, with their director Igli Tare commenting: “I don’t know how much he could be worth and I don’t even want to think about it.

“It’s certainly a figure well over €80million (£70million) to €90million (£78million). Sergej is very important to us and has not yet reached his peak.”

However, Milinkovic-Savic is not the only Lazio player who could be on the move to England. Centre-half Stefan De Vrij looks like heading to Inter Milan, despite Premier League interest, but left-back Jordan Lukaku could be set to follow in the footsteps of his brother Romelu.

Unlike his sibling, Jordan Lukaku is a defender, who plays at left-back. He started the season off suffering with injuries but this year he has broken back into the team and his progress has not gone unnoticed.

Romelu has recommended his brother to United, who are taking a close look, and I understand they are considering making a move as they could very well bring in two left-backs this summer – with the likely departures of Luke Shaw and Matteo Darmian, whilst Ashley Young is clearly not a long-term solution.

So the idea of bringing Lukaku junior to the club, is being talked about – but United are not the only interested party, with up to half-a-dozen Premier League clubs keeping a check on him.

As it stands, Liverpool and Manchester United share favourtism to land Lukaku, whilst Real Madrid and United are favourites for Milinkovic-Savic.
