Lions odds-on not to win a Test

The Hurricanes were the latest domestic side to deny The British & Irish Lions victory and that has further dented their prospects of sealing a Test series victory over the All Blacks.

The Lions lost the opening Test convincingly at the weekend and instead of following that up with a morale boosting win against The Hurricances, they were held to a 31-31 draw in Wellington – relinquishing a 14-point lead.

The Lions are now 3/1 to win either of their remaining test matches this series while it’s 2/9 that they will win neither.

New Zealand are once again firm favourites to take down the British and Irish Lions at 1/7 with the draw priced at 40/1.

At 1/66 it’s hard to see past the All Blacks winning the Lions Tour, but optimistic and patriotic punters can avail at 16/1 that the British and Irish Lions can redeem themselves.

Aoife Heffron, spokeswoman for BoyleSports commented “It was a thrilling match to watch, but it wasn’t the outcome we were hoping to see for the British and Irish Lions ahead of their second test match with New Zealand on Saturday.

“Despite the All Blacks being priced at 1/7 to take the second test match, punters have been snapping up the draw at 40/1.”
