Liverpool back off from Keita deal

Liverpool will not go to £75million for Naby Keita, after RB Leipzig made it known they would not even accept that for their star midfielder.

The Guinea ace has made it clear to Leipzig that he wanted to join, but that is not enough to persuade the Bundesliga side to part company with him.

Leipzig see the 22-year-old as a huge player, and now sources close to Liverpool say they will shelve their interest until next summer when it is understood a release clause of just under £50million will kick in.

Liverpool are now going to turn their attentions elsewhere, whilst also looking at their other big targets including Virgil van Dijk.

Bookmakers are still not sure that Liverpool will not sign Keita and PaddyPower are still 5/6 on him to move to Anfield.
