Liverpool eye Egyptian wingers

Liverpool have made enquiries for Egyptian stars Ramadan Sohbi and Mohamed Salah as Jurgen Klopp looks to add more width to his squad.

Klopp tried to land Dutch ace Qunciy Promes in January and I understand he would still like to add him to his squad, but the fee Russian side Spartak Moscow are demanding – understood to be in excess of £40million – is a huge stumbling block given The Reds are looking at a number of deals this summer.

With that, whilst their interest in Promes remains, they are looking at other options which has led them to Sobhi and Salah.

I understand that Salah is a big target for Klopp – as he loves his work-rate and feels he would be an excellent addition to his squad and the system he operates.

Salah is currently with Roma, and has emerged as one of the best wide-men in Italian football in recent years following a failed spell with Chelsea. He was loaned to Fiorentina before joining Roma, where he has shone.

Roma are not keen on losing him, but enquiries from Liverpool’s end believe they could strike a deal with the Italian outfit.

Liverpool have also asked Stoke to be kept informed about Sohbi after a very good maiden season in England – although they are not the only Premier League top-six side to make contact.

The 20-year-old joined Stoke last summer from Al Ahly and has shown real glimpses of quality, but Mark Hughes and his staff have no intentions of letting him leave this summer.

We spoke to Ladbrokes about the market for Salah an they make Liverpool 5/4 to land him this summer.
