Liverpool are firm favourites to land Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey.

The 27-year-old Welsh star is out-of-contract in the summer, and he has interest from across Europe along with most of the Premier League top clubs.

Liverpool are heading the chase, but Manchester United and Chelsea are also keen, whilst Manchester City are also keeping tabs on his situation. Of the continental sides AC Milan are seen as the most likeliest landing spot as Ivan Gazidis – Arsenal former chief executive – is taking charge at the San Siro.

Arsenal are now looking at selling Ramsey in January, in order to get some money for the player – as he can leave for free at the end of the season.

A new contract looks highly unlikely after the player’s agents confirmed via social media earlier this month that he would not be signing an extension at Arsenal.

Ramsey’s representatives, Avid Sports & Entertainment Group, became embroiled in an exchange with a supporter after tweeting out a picture of the player in a private jet.

In response to some supporters’ anger at the picture, Avid Sports replied, “There’s nothing we can do, the club made the decision. Life goes on,” while adding in a later post, “He didn’t want to leave, but now there is no other option.”

Bookmakers believe that Liverpool are firm favourites to land Ramsey with Ladbrokes putting them at 5/2 to claim him.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “With Arsenal seemingly preparing for life without Ramsey, it now looks as though Liverpool will add another Gunner to their ranks at the next available opportunity.”
