Lukaku ready for move

Romelu Lukaku wants to quit Manchester United after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer confirmed he would be struggling for first-team action under him.

The Belgian international is already a top target for Inter Milan, who have held talks with United and the player himself.

Inter are hoping that they can push through a deal and their sporting director Piero Ausilio confirmed an official approach had been made.

“We had a meeting with Manchester United for Lukaku,” Ausilio said. “It was an official approach between two important clubs. We’ll see what happens.”

Antonio Conte sees Lukaku as the ideal man to lead the line for his new look Inter side, with Mauro Icardi told he can leave.

Solskjaer has made it clear to Lukaku that he is not first-choice with Marcus Rashford set to be the main front-man under the Norwegian.

Lukaku has accepted his future lies away from Old Trafford and he is keen on a move to Italy – although United are currently looking for in excess of £80million, which is way off Inter’s budget.

Inter are keen on a long-term loan, which would become permanent and Lukaku’s representatives are confident of striking a deal with United.

And Bookmakers certainly think the move is very much on the cards with PaddyPower making him 1/6 to sign for Inter.
