Manchester United believe they are close to finalising a deal for Inter Milan midfielder Ivan Perisic.
The Croatian winger has been a long-term target for Jose Mourinho and United have been chasing his signature for most of the summer.

The 28-year-old has made it know to Inter he wants to make the move to Old Trafford, and now the clubs are nearing a deal for the former Wolfsburg man.
Sources have told me that United believe a deal will be done for £40million which is around €43million.
Inter have asked about a couple of United players as potential makeweights, including Anthony Martial – and the Red Devils have not discounted including them.
Perisic is due to take part in Inter’s tour of China this week, and the player is desperate not to make the trip to the Far East – instead he is hoping to be in America with United.
We spoke with UnitedEnd editor Tom McDermott about what he feels Perisic will bring.
“His ability in the attacking third is matched by his ability to track and do the defensive side of the game which is probably just as appealing to Mourinho who requires his players to understand his tactical demands at both ends of the pitch,” he told TheGamblingTimes.com.
Bookmakers are getting ready to close the market on Perisic. PaddyPower have him at 1/12 to make the move to United and 5/1 to stay with Inter Milan.
“His odds are shorter than a Donald Trump digit – so it’s looking close to a done deal,” PaddyPower’s Lee Price said.
“Unless something dramatic happens, the next step would be to suspend the market.”
