Manchester title odds cut – City now odds-on

Bookmakers have cut the odds on Manchester duo City and United, and already they are suggesting the Premier League title is unlikely to go anywhere else.

City were brilliant in their 6-0 win over Watford on Saturday, and United followed that up with an equally good display against Everton – winning 4-0 at Old Trafford.

The results mean that City and United are now ordered alphabetically, as they have identical records.

The Bookmakers have now been forced to cut the odds on both to win the title, with all their main rivals – Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham and Liverpool – failing to win this weekend.

City are now 10/11 from 5/4 with BetFred for the title with United are 11/4 – it is also 11/4 for a team not from Manchester to win the title.

BetFred spokesman Peter Spencer said: “City are now 10/11 to be champions while the Reds are 11/4 after also getting amongst the goals resoundingly beating returning hero Rooney and Co. of Everton 4-0

“Sergio Aguero was the hat-trick hero for City. Aguero has now shortened to 7/2 to be Premier League top scorer  with his big rival in the hotshot stakes Lukaku at United, who scored against his former team mates, favourite at 11/4 while England strike leader Harry Kane at Tottenham is 100/30.”
