Just ten minutes later there could be more trouble for our traders if ISABELLA RED obliges at Lingfield. Backed in from a double figure price, the well drawn 3yo filly shaped with plenty of promise when stepped up to seven furlongs on Monday. If the further step up today brings yet more improvement she could be hard to stop. The mile is as an unknown though.

ADMIRAL SPICE has the assistence of a 7lb claimer and the return of cheekpieces and our traders report serious money for him at Doncaster this afternoon. His best flat runs came with the same headgear and his rating of 60 on the all-weather suggests 82 (less a 7lb claim) would be well within his range if transferring his ability to this sphere. He remains unexposed and the money is most definitely down. An interesting gamble!

We’re also paying an extra place on the 6.45pm at Newcastle. As ever, prices are subject to change.
