Alan Pardew is set to return to club management with West Bromwich Albion after agreeing terms on his contract.
The Baggies axed Tony Pulis earlier this month and Gary Megson has been in caretaker charge, whilst the club looked through their options.
The club have now turned to Pardew with the club’s sporting director Nicky Hammond, particularly keen to link-up with the man he used to work with at Reading.
We revealed earlier in the week that Pardew was favourite and he is expected to be named on Wednesday.
Bookmakers have reacted by closing their markets on Pardew, with very few now taking bets on him landing the job
Pardew will return to management on a two-and-a-half year deal and is back on a hot-seat for the first time since leaving Crystal Palace last year.
