Monaco remain hopeful they can keep Kylian Mbappe for another season, despite the imminent world record bids for the player that looks set to arrive from Real Madrid and Arsenal.
The 18-year-old is arguably the most in-demand young player in world football, after a brilliant campaign with Monaco – helping them to the title and to the Champions League semi-finals.

Bernardo Silva has already departed and others names are expected to follow, but Monaco have persuaded boss Leonardo Jardim to sign a new deal and they hope that will play a major part in keeping a number of their bigger names.
TheGamblingTimes.com revealed earlier this month that Arsene Wenger was confident he could persuade Mbappe to move to Arsenal, should he leave Monaco – and sources have confirmed to me, that the Gunners boss remains confident that the teenager could end up in North London rather than Madrid – should he leave.
Speaking after France’s 3-2 win over England, Mbappe refused to go into detail about his future and said: “We are going away with the family and we will think about what’s going to happen.
“We have to sort it out, see what happens with the club too, because I’m under contract with a club, I’m not free. We will see what’s happening.”
Bookmakers are leaning towards Mbappe staying with Monaco, with SkyBet pricing them at 6/5 favourites to keep him.
