Bookmakers have released their markets for the National Hunt Triple Crown, and Might Bite has been installed as favourite to land the incredible feat.
The jumping Triple Crown means a horse has to win the Betfair Chase at Haydock, the King George VI Chase at Kempton and then the Cheltenham Gold Cup.
The feat has only been around since 2005 when the Betfair Chase was inaugurated, and only one horse has ever managed it – the legend Kauto Star in 2007.
Nicky Henderson trained Might Bite is the early favourite at 20/1 ahead of Gold Cup winner and big rival Native River – who is listed at 40/1.
Any horse landing the treble would earn a £1million bonus.
“Only the mighty Kauto Star has landed the three races that make up the Chase Triple Crown, but with several top class staying chasers in training at present, we’re just 10-1 that the £1 million bonus is landed again this season, with Might Bite the leading contender at 20-1,” said Coral’s David Stevens.
