Money on McGregor not Money Mayweather

Bookmakers have again been forced to cut the odds on Irish superstar Conor McGregor beating Floyd Mayweather.

The two clash in Las Vegas later this month in one of the most anticipated fights of all-time.

It sees Mixed Martial Arts champion McGregor face Mayweather, one of the greatest boxers of all time and undefeated to date.

But whilst Mayweather is odds-on, McGregor’s odds are coming in as many continues to come on on the UFC man and he is now rated 7/2.

Bookmakers are expecting this fight to be the biggest betting sporting event ever – WilliamHill alone are expected over £10million turnover.

“It is one way traffic for Conor McGregor, who is definitely winning the war of words as we get closer to the fight,” said William Hill spokesman Rupert Adams.

“If McGregor wins it will almost certainly be the worst result we have ever had, even surpassing Frankie Dettori’s ‘Magnificent Seven’ victory in 1996.”
