Roma star Radja Nainggolan has revealed Chelsea tried to sign him last summer, and he talks with Antonio Conte about a move.
The Blues are again being linked with a potential move for the 28-year-old – who is one of the stars of Serie A.
But the Belgian international is somewhat of a legend in Rome, where he has been since 2014 and has played nearly 150 times.
Speaking about the possibility of playing in England, he said: “I watch it [Premier League] a lot.
“A lot of my team-mates play there. It’s the best league in the world. We have to make choices in life. I am having a good season. When the window opens we will talk about it again.”
Asked about Chelsea’s interest and whether he has been in contact with Conte he confirmed: “Yes. I talked to him.
“They were really interested and wanted me over there. That’s all I can say.”
Bookmakers have reacted to the news of Chelsea’s interest in the Belgium midfield ace and Chelsea are as short as 11/10 to be his next club.
