Ndombele wants Spurs move

Tanguy Ndombele has confirmed his interest in joining Tottenham Hotspur, with Manchester United set to turn to other targets.

United were very much in the hunt for the outstanding Lyon midfielder, but it is believed the 22-year-old would rather join Spurs this summer – should he move to England, although there are a number of sides looking to land him.

Juventus had been leading the chase for Ndombele, but with Maurizio Sarri now taking charge – it remains to be seen if their interest remains, and Spurs are hopeful they will land him.

And the player has now admitted that Spurs are a club he has been thinking about.

“It’s true that Tottenham are a great team – a big club. They finished fourth in their league, they were finalists in the Champions League,” he said.

“They are a big club like many others. Which player would not be interested in a big club?”

Should Ndombele arrive, then Spurs are ready to listen to offers for Eric Dier and Victor Wanyama amongst others as they will have a have a number of summer targets to pay for, with the likes of Ryan Sessegnon and Giovani Lo Celso also wanted by the club.

Ndombele, though, remains the number one target and Bookmakers are confident that they will land their man.

PaddyPower make Tottenham 13/8 favourites to sign him.

Although Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas – famed for his tough negotiating stance, insists nobody has got near their valuation for the player.

“Nothing has been decided for Tanguy Ndombele. We have had a lot of offers but none of them meet my expectations,” he said.
