Bookmakers have cut the odds on Newcastle United pair Jonjo Shelvey and Jamaal Lascelles making England’s World Cup squad.
Both Newcastle captain Lascelles and Shelvey are enjoying a rich vein of form, helping The Magpies into the top-half of the table.
As it stands Gareth Southgate has shown little warmth towards bringing in the duo, but as the form continues – Bookmakers have cut the odds on the pair making it.
Shelvey is 7/2 from 8/1 with Coral, whilst Lascelles is 16/1 from 33/1.
“The Magpies have only lost two games in 2018 so far and the pair have been instrumental in that run of form. It’s easy to see why they’re being backed to make Southgate’s final squad and we’ve cut the odds significantly on both,” said Coral’s Harry Aitkenhead.
