Neymar insists he is staying put at PSG

Brazilian superstar Neymar has moved to play down reports that he could be unsettled in Paris and already considering his future.

Almost from the moment he signed for Paris Saint German in the world record deal, there were stories that some of his team-mates were less than impressed with the perceived preferential treatment he was getting.

Recent reports claim that he is a rift between Neymar and PSG boss Unai Emery, which could see him move back to Spain – but not with Barcelona, instead their arch-rivals Real Madrid.

Even Real captain Sergio Ramos has cheekily suggested that they could welcome him.

“I like to have the best and it’s clear Neymar is one of them,” he said said.

“Maybe it was easier for him to go to PSG, instead of directly to Real Madrid.”

But Neymar has insisted that he is not looking at quitting the French capital.

“I’m very well in Paris, I’m happy. I’m motivated to be a player who gives everything on the pitch,” he said.

“I don’t have a problem with [Edison] Cavani, I don’t have a problem with the coach. I want you to stop inventing stories that I have problems with the coach. I came to help, to contribute, I came to help my coach.”

Bookmakers believe there is a chance that Neymar could move and are taking bets on a swift exit.

Ladbrokes make it just 4/1 he leaves Paris before the start of next season and 3/1 for the move to Real.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “The odds are all pointing towards one scenario – and that’s an imminent Neymar exit. Things haven’t exactly gone according to plan in Paris and Zidane’s Galacticos might just strike a deal after next year’s World Cup.”
