NFL Picks – Super Bowl Preview

The Super Bowl Weekend is here, and we preview the big game as Kansas City Chiefs take on the San Francisco 49ers.

The Chiefs arrive in Miami as the champions of the AFC, whilst the 49ers took the NFC Conference title.

The 49ers are one of the most successful teams in NFL history and they return to the big game for the first time since 2012, and they are looking for what would be a record equalling sixth win.

Only the New England Patriots and Pittsburgh Steelers have won the Super Bowl in six occasions.

And whilst San Francisco look to make history, Kansas City are in their first Super Bowl for 50 years. They appeared twice in the big game in the 1960s – winning once and losing once.

The 49ers are lead by their quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo – who actually has two Super Bowl rings to his name having been back-up to Tom Brady at New England.

And Garoppolo is keeping calm ahead of the big match, and said: “I hear all the stuff and everything, but you can’t put that all out there all the time. You have to do with it what you will and take it for what it is. Just at the end of the day you’ve got to go out there and play football.”

Whilst Garoppolo may not be considered the star of the show for San Francisco, the same can’t be said of Kansas City’s QB in Patrick Mahomes – who is the current NFL MVP (Most Valuable Player, US version of Player of the Year).

Mahomes arrives in confident mood, saying: “It’s been a long build up, but every day we have been working hard just to make sure we find the right way to win this football game.”

Our own Graeme Bailey, Coral’s John Hill and Pete Koury, of America’s biggest radio station SiriusXM, deliver their verdicts on the big game, as they have all season.
