Arsenal sources have told me that they are confident he will sign a new deal, although with interest mounting – the likelihood is that he could secure a major pay rise from moving.
Oxlade-Chamberlain is happy at Arsenal and has been keen to strike a new deal, but talks have not gone too well in recent months which has frustrated him and left the door open for a departure.
Liverpool are keen on a deal and are understood to be gearing up a £30million offer for the former Southampton man.
But I understand that Chelsea, Man City, Man United and Everton have all touched base with Arsenal to register their interest in the player – should they opt to sell – as they all see signing him as too goo an opportunity to turn down.
There is also foreign interest in him with Paris Saint Germain and AC Milan both believed hold an interest.
SkyBet are listing Liverpool as the 5/2 favourites to land him, should they leave – but the bookies still feel he will stay at The Emirates and is 8/13 to remain with Arsenal.
