Palace ready to cash in on star pair – but only at right price

Crystal Palace will let their prized assets Wilfried Zaha and Aaron Wan-Bissaka leave this summer but will only contemplate letting them depart if their valuations are met – which could mean combined fee of over £100million.

Palace rate forward Zaha at around £75million, whilst young full-back Wan-Bissaka is rated £35million.

Eagles chief Roy Hodgson has already admitted that the club would consider letting both leave.

“[Speculation] has been happening on a regular basis this season that Wilf and Aaron have been linked with other clubs,” he said.

“The good thing for me is one has a five-year contract [Zaha] and one has a four-year contract [Wan-Bissaka]. The club is certainly in no way advertising them or promoting them as saleable objects. We would be more than happy to keep them.

“But we just have to remain realistic and see what happens. If offers come in they will obviously be assessed, like everything else.”

Borussia Dortmund have been linked after both players, having watched Palace extensively in recent months, whilst Tottenham, Arsenal and Chelsea all have long standing interest in the pair. Wan-Bissaka has also been looked at by Manchester City, Manchester United and Leicester City.

Sources have told us that Palace will indeed allow both to leave, if their valuations are met – but the club are not desperate to push them out of the door, so will not be merely selling them off.

As it stands Dortmund are current favourites with the Bookmakers to land Zaha rated at 6/1 with BetVictor, whilst Manchester United are seen as 2/1 favourites for Wan-Bissaka.
