Paris Saint Germain new favourites for Champions League

Paris Saint Germain’s big spending looks to be paying off as the French giants are now considered favourites to win the Champions League.

PSG spent heavily in the summer with world record signing Neymar arriving from Barcelona and French wonder-kid Kylian Mbappe coming in from Monaco.

And PSG’s new look side have impressed from the off and that now finds them favourites for Europe’s top prize.

BetVictor have now moved PSG to 4/1 for the title, and their Head of ante post Football Michael Triffitt commented: “With all the leading clubs recording victories this in the Champions league there is little change in the outright betting.

“However, PSG who won 4-0 in Anderlecht and seem to be scoring for fun whenever they play are 4/1 favourites from 9/2 after been popular with punters during the summer when opening at 16/1.”

As well as PSG – the English sides have enjoyed a brilliant start to the Champions League, with all five of the Premier League teams – Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United, Tottenham and Liverpool – sitting top of their groups.

As such odds have moved, although it is City who have come into third favourites for the title.

Triffitt added: “An English winner is 7/4 from 2/1 after Manchester City have shortened from 8/1 to 6/1.Liverpool and Spurs came into 25/1 from 33/1 whilst United stay 12/1 and Chelsea eased to 20/1 from 14/1.”
