Liverpool’s odds title odds have again been cut as they moved to the top of the Premier League table.
The Reds maintained their 100% start to the new league season with a hard fought 1-0 win over Brighton at Anfield, which sees them into top spot after champions Manchester City were held to a 1-1 draw at Wolves.
Liverpool chief Jurgen Klopp again refuses to get carried away with title talk.
“I’m really not interested in the table. It’s really not important after the third matchday. Nine points are important,” said Klopp.
“I expect a lot from the boys. I’m pretty demanding but I know we can improve.”
Liverpool’s have now been cut to 11/4 from 3/1 by BoyleSports, whilst City drift out to 4/6 – but remain firm favourites to retain their crown.
BoyleSports spokesperson Aoife Heffron stated: “Liverpool’s 1-0 win over Brighton was enough to see them take over the Premier League table as Man City’s dismal performance against Wolves saw them secure just a 1- draw.
“Chelsea and Tottenham can catch Liverpool on points, if they win their respective clashes on Sunday and Monday, but goal difference will let them down so it looks like Liverpool will remain top until next week’s action.”
